"DIGITAL MODELS"

Nov. 2, 2023

16:00-22:00 CET

During the COVID-19 pandemic, “the digital” swiftly became a focal point for opera companies and creators alike. From industrial conferences to artistic commissions, opera houses committed time, money, and resources to this previously overlooked sector. Nevertheless, as the pandemic’s impact on live performance gradually waned, so too did institutions’ enthusiasm for this topic. For our fourth dialogue, “Digital Models”, New Opera Dialogues wants to double down on the role of digital technology in new opera, moving beyond the framework of the pandemic to consider it in the context of traditional, analogue forms.
